French sector or Swiss sector?

This is what makes EuroAirport unique, and the only information we really need before coming to pick you up.

Built on French soil, straddling the municipalities of Saint-Louis, Hésingue and Blotzheim, the airport has been jointly operated by France and Switzerland since the 1949 convention.
The building is a single structure, but a customs border runs through it: you exit either through the French sector or the Swiss sector. The French north terminal was inaugurated in 2002; the Swiss south terminal in 2005.
A customs road has directly linked the Swiss sector to Basel since 1953, with no systematic border checks. This is the route used for journeys to Switzerland.
Nine out of ten passenger flights operate under Swiss traffic rights: many business travellers naturally exit on the Swiss side without having thought about it beforehand.

Do I need to specify the French or Swiss sector when booking?

It is not mandatory: your flight number is enough for us to determine it. If you already know it, telling us saves time on the day.

How long should I allow from Strasbourg?

About 1 h 20 via the motorway, for 130 kilometres. Allow 40 minutes from Colmar and 25 minutes from Mulhouse. We always build in a margin on these times.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

We track your flight number and adjust the pick-up time accordingly. Waiting time due to a flight delay is included, at no extra charge.

Can you drive me from the airport to Switzerland?

Yes. The customs road links the Swiss sector of the airport to Basel without systematic checks, and we provide journeys to Basel, Zurich and German-speaking Switzerland.

Can you pick up several passengers arriving on different flights?

Yes, this is actually common at this airport. We track each flight number and organise either a group wait or several successive pick-ups, depending on the gap between arrivals.

How does billing work for a company?

In your company's name, with either one invoice per trip or a consolidated summary at the end of the month — your choice. Your employees pay nothing upfront and have no expense reports to file.
